People Faces and Fur - "A Matter of Histories" - The Cast of Characters. Hey that's
not the theme song to "Sex In The City"
! No, but it is an HBO Production 6 Feet
Under. We always keep our eye on the PETA File. But a PETA Model -- that is
another Story. This is a PETA model ... Fernanda Tavares. A perfect model of
"choice". She believes you have the right to choose. Images by Richard Renda.

"A Matter of Histories." This is Tom Julian. No, he is not a Press Photographer. But he does take
a good picture. Tom Julien is a well respected "Trend Forecaster" and On Air personality. Tom -
you did that tape thing like a real Pro. Was impressed. Totally. Thanks a bunch. You be well.

Have to say something about that PETA Terrorist. For
20 years the organization "attacked" people. Then the
Universe sent them to, you know: him. He took them
down and said: be human. Now they are. A good thing.

This captured moment is part of "The Tommy History". A Story that will be set straight. Guess he forgot it
was actually -IN FACT- Ricki Lake who put "Hilfiger" into Inner City. Not his underwear ads he was pushing
on the sides of New York City telephone booths or a single talk show appearance by the Snoop Dogg. Or
maybe there was / is a "7th on Sale" that has interesting video footage -- waiting for History to write what is.
Fern could confirm that. You should be Nice to certain people. Or they bite back, for many lifetimes. But ...
here there is much to say. First, this "Special Section" is dedicated to a man named Alan Cohen. He works
with Nicole Miller. A crown we set upon his head. A man we are proud of and proud to talk about. Alan Cohen
this Fashion Week came out to The Press Pen before Nicole Miller's Fashion Show. He saw the infamous
white list on the clipboard. It had the Press Photographers names on it. Alan said these words, "I don't want
to do The List thing. I don't want to do this selective thing." And he demanded: "Let the Photographers in."
For us it makes no difference. It is ... about Histories. We have been covering Nicole Miller as friend and
associate for a decade, more. Yet for the hard working photographer who hopes to get the shot, a simple
photograph, it could be a question of: will they be invited in. Alan -- I was personally very proud of you that
day and forever more. Nicole has been one of the most "stand up" Fashion Designers the C.F.D.A..and the
fashion community has ever had. Now, you are a matter of the written History. Signed, Richard Renda. The
Photo above is a handful of "Working Press"
, photographers Tommy Hilfiger would not let in. The Hilfiger
people said they had "no room on The Press Riser." (All these people have places marked there.) What did
you say ? We watched 13 press celeb paparazzi photographers walk out as these willing souls stood around
to only hear the words "I Can't." The photogs let in, who walked out, could care less about the clothes or the
show. They wanted just to shoot Celebrities and would not waste their time. Who lost ? You -- the general
public -- and the communities of peoples who would have seen these Photographers works. We learned
something. Like (year 2000) when Tommy said, "now I can do what I Believe in." (Suits.) Was the inner city
just stones to step on. It is true Richard Renda would know. The "All America Look". Call it ... "Levi's and a
motorcycle half helmet by Harley Davidson." Do you know the other two Fashion Designers -chosen- by him ?
