If you are in
New York City
and would like
to see some
real modern day
Fashion Culture
(a/k/a Fashion
History) you can
visit The Fashion
Institute of Technology at 27th Street
and Fashion Avenue (7th Avenue)
any time between October 22, 2001
and January 5, 2002. They are open
Tuesday thru Friday 12 noon to 8 p.m.
and Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There
you will experience an exhibition
honoring Creations of famed Fashion
Designer Yeohlee. Her shapes are a
tribute to the word: Simple. Her lines
are straight, clean, and many times
square off. Yeohlee is especially
revered for her capes and her coats.
She puts into her designs the warmth
of her soul yet still keeping the focus
in mind: it is not about just looking
good, it is about looking
"Sharp."
