This 2007 Issue will be a "Special Edition" covering
many subjects - past, present, and future - in people and events. This should be a fun adventure. Totally Cool ® -our officially registered trademark- has been around for well more than a decade. The Concept is that it is about you - no matter who you are in the world. Because "everyone has something that is Totally Cool to them." It is the highest levels of Cool that the Universe has to offer and that the Universe puts in your very life. And it is about much more than you think it is. Let me relate a little story to you that I have always loved and that always sticks in my mind. It may help keep you centered while making you realize what Life - at its truest core - is really all about. Many years ago I was in pursuit of a good news story and I asked the President of what may have appeared to some to have been a very stuffy proper corporate company one of our three stock Totally Cool ® questions. It was a stiff, white collar, tie tight to the neck protocol environment. A big New York - Fifth Avenue - Japanese Tie Company. They were donating a portion of the proceeds from a certain line of ties to children's A.I.D.S. charities. I asked the gentleman: "What is Totally Cool about you ???" Honestly, I really really wanted to know. |

Feminine and flirty looks ruled the runways for the Spring 2007 collections in New York. Ellen Tracy's traditional, wearable day
pieces included swingy dresses in jersey, poplin, or crinkly georgette. Cynthia Steffe featured playful dresses in watermelon and cobalt hues that conveyed the very essence of a hot summer day. Marc Jacobs again showed his expertise in both causal and fine apparel. As he also presented his collections with masterful show presentation that would awe even an Artist's eye. Rock and Republic presented their collection in the grandest of style at Cipriani's 42nd Street location and transformed the whole interior into an enchantment of lights and wonder. Spectators watched from clear lucite chairs as models walked on a highly polished white top elevated runway to classic music by The Who, Led Zeppelin, and the soundtrack from the movie "The Matrix." Highlights of the collection included tailored jackets, blouses, skirts, jeans, and a form fitting mini-trench coat. |

Dresses were featured throughout, ranging from a shirtdress to a stunning black floor length gown. For the men there were
also casual jackets and slacks. Guests were greeted on red carpet by Cipriani's well mannered black suit staff. The afterparty continued in the adjoining "red" room as the overflow crowd was treated to cocktails at an open bar, hors d'oeuvres, and of course what Cipriani's is known for: the famed Bellini (their original Peach Juice and Champagne mix). While the models walked the Runway the action was given added depth by showing the clothing collection at the same time on huge flatpanel screen TV's positioned around the room.
