I was then informed that indeed Wizard advertises in such publications as Redbook
Magazine and Good Housekeeping. Makes sense. I must confess I am not a
regular reader of these magazines.

"Magazines Are Dreams." "Magazines are about having dreams." These statements
believe it or not were precipitated by a discussion about selling cans of Wizard Air
Freshener on-line in "The Store" at TotallyCool. net -- Questions of ozone depletion
aside, my first response (without thinking it through of course) was to ask whether
such was the stuff of Totally Cool (r) ??? And if Wizard advertises, where ?

But isn't Totally Cool (r) meant to be the kind of place where people can dream ?
As if Redbook and Good Housekeeping are not places for dreams.

As I was asking this I was simultaneously thinking of the celebrity magazine Covers
that have graced these magazines as well as other publications. And if you were
to take away the typeface, the layout, the individual demographics, the prices of
the clothing and the products covered, in any of these magazines -- from Good
Housekeeping to Harper's Bazaar -- of course they are all about Dreams ... to have
them and more importantly how to attain them. Because ultimately magazines are
tools to better our lives. Or they should be. Even sensationalist stories show us
how not to behave although their primary objective may be not to educate but to
sell more magazines.

Which leads me to what is Totally Cool (r) and what makes it different. First there
are four criteria for anything that is deemed the highest level of Totally Cool (r).
They are: 1. Quality 2. Durability 3. Good Value and 4. Great Fun. Any thing or
any person that reaches these criteria is certainly Totally Cool (r).

Wouldn't you agree ? And wouldn't you want to know about it or them and if you
are able to make it all: part of your life ? Or at least Dream about that possibility ?
Second is "Always Good News All The Time." A philosophy that has permeated
Totally Cool (r) since its inception many years ago.

It is a simple concept, one that motivates all its stories to find
the good news. And that is good news.

Letter From The Editor -
Because ultimately Totally Cool (r) is about raising the level for everyone-- to
inspire, to set on fire, to turn electric the positive side and the good things in
all of us (in the many things we do). And to have Fun doing it while setting an
example for the future. In this our first issue of Totally Cool (r) The Magazine,
the Spring 2000 Edition, you will find this approach in all kinds of stories from
fashion to politics, music to spirituality, small time to big time, names you have
not heard of and some you may have forgotten. So enjoy. Dream on.

Welcome to Totally Cool
!!!!
