The MagaZine
This Is very Cereus
Queen Of The Night
Orchid Cactus
First the flower
starts as a little
bud sprouting off
the side of a leaf.
Then it becomes
the flower you see,
in a matter of hours.
As the darkness
goes deep into
the Night -- the
Blooming Cereus
at three o'clock
in the a.m. then
gives off its sweet
scent. When the
morning comes
the Event is over
and the Cereus
is gone. The
flower is no more.
A true Life cycle
demonstrating:
the way things are.
Nature's beauty.
An overnight
sensation.
Now that we have
seen "The Flower"
what about the
process -- How can
we see the process ?
Life is filled with many
mysteries. But if you
see those wonders
through you may find
more than you thought
you would see.
Grows in the deserts
of southern Arizona,
east to Texas, south
to northern Mexico.
And yes, this Flower
is from the same
family of Blooming
Cereus that "Dennis
The Menace" the
motion picture was
about. What will you
see next ?!!
Epiphyllum oxypetallum
