A philosophy professor stood before his class and had some items in front of him.
When class began, wordlessly he picked up a large empty mayonnaise jar and
proceeded to fill it with rocks right to the top, rocks about 2" diameter. He asked the
students if the jar was full ? They agreed that it was. The professor then picked up a box of
pebbles and poured them in to the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open
areas between the rocks. The students laughed. He asked his students again if the jar was full ?
They agreed that yes, it was. The professor then picked up a box of sand and poured it into the
jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else.

"Now," the professor said, "I want you to recognize that this is your life. The rocks are the
important things - your family, your partner, your health, your children - anything that is so
important to you that if it were lost, you would be nearly destroyed. The pebbles are the other
things in life that matter, but on a smaller scale. The pebbles represent things like your job, your
house, your car. The sand is everything else. The small stuff. If you put the sand or the pebbles
into the jar first, there is no room for the rocks. The same goes for your life. If you spend all your
energy and time on the small stuff, material things, you will never have room for the things that
are truly most important. Pay attention to the things that are critical in your life. Play with
children. Take your partner out dancing. There will always be time to go to work, clean the
house, give a dinner party, and fix the disposal."

Take care of the rocks first - the things that really matter. The rest is just pebbles, and sand.

An extremely modest man was in the hospital for a series of tests, the last of which had left his
bodily systems extremely upset. Upon making several false alarm trips to the bathroom, he
figured that the latest episode was just that, so he stayed put. Suddenly, however, he soiled
his bed with diarrhea and was embarrassed beyond his ability to remain rational. In a complete
loss of composure -- the man jumped out of bed, gathered up the bed sheets and threw them
out the hospital window. A drunk was walking by the hospital when the sheets landed on him.
The drunk started yelling, cursing, and swinging his arms violently in an attempt to free himself
of the sheets. He ended up with the soiled sheets in a tangled pile at his feet. As the drunk
stood there, staring down at the sheets, a hospital security guard who had witnessed the entire
incident walked up to him and asked, What the heck is going on ???" The drunk, still staring
down at the sheets, replied, "I think I just beat the shit out of a ghost."
Send this to friends ... Remember to make a wish before you read the poem. That's all you
have to do. There is nothing attached. This is a powerful meditation. Send it to 4 people and
see what happens on the 4th day. A little prayer or meditation is one of the best free gifts we
receive. There is no cost ... but a lot of reward. (Did you make a wish ?) If you don't make a
wish, it won't come true. You've gotta be in to win. Last Chance ... Make a Wish
!
May today there be peace within. May you trust your highest power that you are exactly
where you are meant to be .... May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born
of faith. May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has
been given to you .... May you be content knowing you are a child of God. Let this
presence settle into our bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise
and love. It is there for each and every one of you ....

The Spirit connects us, as threads wove in a sweater. Each placed by
the loving hand of it's creator. All done with love. From one strand to
another, different colors interweaved, different patterns emerge -- but ...
only one sweater, one spirit
