In October 1994 "The
Tents" at 42nd Street
in Bryrant Park, where
the New York Fashion
Industry shows their
Collections, were
first erected. Certain
photographers would
go backstage and hang
around until the girls
were in the buff -nude-
changing clothes. Then
the photogs (no names
mentioned) would sneak
the shots. Those girls
signed on to do runway,
not proposition their
bare body on the Web
for money. Every Model
had the RIGHT to be
protected. We did that.
For the first 4 years we
would cover backstage
and watch for photogs
playing the sleazy
stalking game. There
the rule was created.
"No taking of any pictures
by anyone while the girls
were changing clothes."
This one thing began
to give Modeling more
credibility. Because
someone cared.
