Skruf, purveyor to His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf of
Sweden and the Swedish Royal Family -- creates the
glassware given as gifts from Sweden to visiting heads
of state, including Europe's official gift to President
George W. Bush on his visit to Sweden in 2001. Skruf
also supplies the glass for Sweden's embassies and
consulates when entertaining important guests on
occasions of state and produces specially designed
glassware for numerous Celebrities.
Designers responsible for the coolest restaurant and nightclub designs on the East Coast are featured
at Totem Gallery November 7 through December 24. The Designs are produced by Skruf of Sweden.
Totem Design Group, a multifaceted company dedicated to promoting design through multimedia,
commissioned five of New York City's most exciting restaurant / bar designers to create a collection
utilizing the unique melted glass process by Skruf of Sweden, a carefully guarded secret known only
to a few master craftsmen. Products made by hand, down to the smallest detail, are either mouth
blown or handmade using ancient methods to create a unique and unsurpassed quality.

The Designers in this presentation and Benefit Auction are Harry
Allen, Thomas Leeser, Nancy Mah, Ali Tayar and of course ...
Miguel Calvo. Among them they have designed – Lotus, Glass,
Pop, Waterloo, Sushi Samba, Global 33, Clinton Fresh Food,
SX137, Botino … Seminal interiors for a city known for design.
The works include tabletop and entertaining accessories as
well as Holiday ornaments. The Benefit auction proceeds
raised from the first prototypes go to God's Love We Deliver
a not for profit organization based in New York whose mission
it is to improve the health and well-being of men, women, and
children living with AIDS by alleviating hunger and malnutrition.
